Garnett, KS – Two familiar faces in Anderson County will lead this year’s Garnett Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade. The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office announced that Don and Lena Nungesser have been named Grand Marshals for the 55th annual event.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, Don Nungesser currently serves as Deputy Coroner for the 4th Judicial District of Kansas and as an Apparatus Operator with Anderson County EMS. His decades of public service include time as Director of Anderson County EMS and as a Reserve Deputy with the Sheriff’s Office.

Lena Nungesser has also spent many years serving Anderson County as an EMT with the county’s EMS and as a longtime employee of Anderson County Hospital. She continues to assist with death investigations in the county and is recognized for her dedication and professionalism toward local residents and their families.
