CHICAGO – Parler has been removed from the internet less than a week after Pro-Trump insurrectionists stormed the U.S. Capitol Building.
The app found a home among conservatives and extremists and had been already removed from both Google Play and Apple.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) which provided web service for the App, cut support at midnight Sunday, killing the app. Amazon had previously told Parler it had “seen a steady increase in this violent content on your website, all of which violates our terms.”
Parler was required by Apple to submit a “requested moderation improvement plan within 24 hours” Friday morning while Google asked the company to address “this ongoing and urgent public safety threat.”
