Tinley Park, IL – Amazon is set to open its latest Amazon Fresh grocery store in Tinley Park on Thursday, August 22, bringing a new shopping experience to the south suburbs of Chicago. The 38,436-square-foot store, located at 16017 S. Harlem Avenue, will be the online retail giant’s 11th brick-and-mortar location in the Chicago area. This expansion includes another location in Oak Lawn, further solidifying Amazon’s presence in the region.
“This is a big win for Tinley Park and the entire south suburbs,” said Mayor Michael Glotz. “Amazon Fresh is fast becoming a favorite for shoppers who value quality food and easy checkouts, and we’re excited to have one of their stores right here in our own back yard.”
The new Amazon Fresh store is part of the Tinley Park Plaza shopping center, which is undergoing redevelopment by Brixmor. The center is at the southeast corner of Harlem Avenue and 159th Street, with plans for more retail outlets and infrastructure improvements as part of Phase II of the project.
