Amarillo, TX – According to the National Weather Service in Amarillo, temperatures will rebound at the start of the holiday week before two cold fronts bring a sharp cooldown through the end of November.
After the active weather this past weekend, Monday and Tuesday will feel mild, with highs climbing into the upper 50s to mid-60s across the Panhandles. A weak cold front on Tuesday will bring cooler air for Wednesday, but conditions should stay comfortable for Thanksgiving Day.
By the weekend, however, a much stronger cold front will move through, introducing much colder air and dropping afternoon highs into the 30s as December begins.
Residents are encouraged to prepare for a chilly end to the week, particularly for outdoor holiday events and travel.
