Amarillo, Texas — A series of cold fronts will bring noticeable temperature swings to the Amarillo area over the next several days, with only a low chance for snow this weekend.

According to the National Weather Service in Amarillo, conditions will remain breezy Friday, with daytime highs ranging from 44 to 54 degrees and overnight lows falling into the mid-teens to low 20s.

On Saturday, another front moves through, keeping highs cooler in the upper 30s to low 40s. Forecasters note a 10 to 20 percent chance of snow Saturday morning, though any accumulation that does occur is currently expected to remain under 1 inch.

Temperatures rebound quickly on Sunday, with highs climbing into the upper 50s to mid-60s, before cooler air returns early next week. Highs dip back into the 40s on Monday, then rise again into the 50s by Tuesday, continuing the temperature rollercoaster.

While snow impacts appear minimal at this time, residents should be prepared for cold mornings, especially Saturday, when lows fall into the low to mid-teens. Gusty winds with passing fronts may also add to the chill.

Forecasters stress that details could change, particularly regarding the Saturday snow chance, and residents are encouraged to monitor updates.

This outlook is especially relevant for early-morning commuters, weekend travelers, and outdoor workers, as temperature swings and brief wintry conditions could affect plans.
