Vernon Parish, LA – A former Allen Parish Sheriff’s deputy has been arrested following an investigation into the alleged misuse of law enforcement databases and the unlawful sharing of sensitive information on social media, according to Louisiana State Police (LSP).

Authorities said the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office requested assistance from the LSP Criminal Investigations Division on November 5, 2025, after reports surfaced that confidential Louisiana Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (LLETS) data had been improperly accessed and shared.

Detectives later determined that former Allen Parish Sheriff’s Office Deputy Winston Lambright allegedly collected and disseminated confidential information to a private citizen, who then shared it on a social media platform.

On November 7, 2025, Lambright was formally charged with unlawful search and dissemination of criminal history information, trespassing against state computers, and malfeasance in office, police said. He was arrested and booked into the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office.

LSP confirmed it will serve as the lead agency in the case. The investigation’s findings will be forwarded to the Vernon Parish District Attorney’s Office for review and possible prosecution. No additional information has been released.

Anyone with information related to the case is urged to contact the LSP Criminal Investigations Division at (318) 487-5245 or submit a tip online.
