The Fort Wayne Police Department stated that on October 1, 2025, officers responded to a suspicious person complaint in the 3400 block of Plaza Drive. A woman reported that a man had allegedly lured her 10-year-old daughter to his home, where the allegedly crime took place.
According to Detective Todd Garman of the department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit (CAPS), investigators identified the suspect as Peter J. Hill, 69. Officers took Hill into custody at his residence on November 4, 2025, around 9 a.m., without incident.
Hill was transported to the Allen County Jail and faces one count of child molesting, classified as a Level 1 felony under Indiana law.
Police thanked the Indiana Department of Child Services and the Dr. Bill Lewis Center for Children for their assistance in the investigation.
