PITTSBURGH, PA – Sheriff Kevin M. Kraus of the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Office announced the re-arrest of a 37-year-old woman who failed to appear for court twice in connection with burglary and theft charges.
Bailey Loveday, previously charged by Jefferson Hills Police in August 2025 after DNA evidence reportedly linked her to a 2023 burglary, had been released without bail after her initial arraignment. She failed to appear for a scheduled hearing on October 8, prompting a bench warrant.
Detectives located Loveday the same day at a Sheetz in Pleasant Hills, where she resisted arrest and had access to multiple knives. She was detained and later released with a new court date — which she again failed to attend on October 15.
Following another warrant issued October 21, detectives tracked Loveday this week to a residence on Pittsburgh’s South Side, where she refused to cooperate. After entering through an open window and brief struggle, officers safely took her into custody.
Loveday is now being held at the Allegheny County Jail and faces additional charges including flight to avoid apprehension, failure to appear, and resisting arrest.
