At approximately 7:06 a.m., deputies were called to Magnolia Hospital, where a woman driving a silver Cadillac XT5 SUV said she had been stopped by an unknown vehicle displaying a blue light on the dashboard.

The woman told investigators that a white male wearing a dark t-shirt approached her car and asked for her driver’s license. During the exchange, she said she was struck in the head by an object and lost consciousness. After regaining awareness, she reportedly drove herself to the hospital.

Deputies are now asking anyone who was traveling along Highway 72 near County Road 605 around that time and witnessed any suspicious vehicle or traffic stop to contact the Alcorn County Sheriff’s Office at 662-286-5521.
