Albany, NY – Residents across eastern New York and western New England can expect a picture-perfect fall weekend with sunshine, mild temperatures, and only a slight chance of showers tonight.

According to the National Weather Service in Albany, high temperatures on Saturday, September 27, 2025, will range between the mid-60s and upper 70s across the region. Locations such as Lake George and Lake Taghkanic State Park will see highs near 76 degrees, while Hunter Mountain remains cooler at 64 degrees.

Tonight, forecasters call for lows in the 50s and lower 60s, with a 20–30% chance of a light rain shower south and east of Albany. The rest of the area is expected to stay dry.

Sunday’s outlook trends warmer, with highs climbing into the upper 70s and even low 80s in parts of upstate New York. Lake George, for example, is forecast to reach 83 degrees. This sets up ideal conditions for outdoor activities including hiking, lake recreation, and leaf-peeping, as fall colors continue to emerge in the region.

Travelers heading to Vermont destinations such as Stratton Mountain and Woodford State Park can expect highs in the 70s, providing comfortable weather for mountain activities.

The weekend’s combination of sunshine, mild afternoons, and crisp evenings makes for one of the best stretches of early fall weather so far this season.
