Birmingham, Ala. – Sunshine and low 80s will bring a summerlike feel across central Alabama today, giving residents a picture-perfect Saturday to enjoy outdoor plans. Overnight, skies will remain clear as temperatures dip into the upper 50s and lower 60s.
According to the National Weather Service in Birmingham, afternoon highs will reach 83°F in cities like Jasper, Clanton and Gadsden, while Tuscaloosa and Alex City may hit 84°F. Tonight, expect lows as cool as 58°F in Hamilton and 59°F in Jasper and Fayette. Birmingham, Anniston, and Alex City will hover near 62°F by early Sunday.
The dry air and mild breeze mean ideal weather for Saturday sports events, yardwork, or a trip to the park. No rain is expected, and humidity levels will stay low—especially by Alabama standards. If you’re out early Sunday, consider grabbing a light jacket, especially in areas north of I-22 where temps start in the 50s.
This calm, dry stretch is expected to hold through the rest of the weekend. No watches or warnings are currently in effect, but updated forecasts will be issued if conditions change.
