Huntsville, AL – Commuters across north Alabama may face reduced visibility this morning as patchy fog lingers in the area, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Huntsville. Forecasters issued the alert early Tuesday, warning drivers to take extra caution during the morning rush.

According to the NWS, there is also a slight chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms in northeast Alabama today, with rain odds at just 20 percent. Otherwise, skies will remain mostly sunny, and temperatures will climb into the low to mid-80s this afternoon.

The week ahead will feature warm and seasonable conditions. Wednesday and Thursday are expected to bring highs in the upper 80s, with overnight lows ranging from the mid-50s to mid-60s. By Friday and Saturday, cooler air moves in, with daytime highs dropping into the mid-70s to low 80s.

Residents can expect mostly dry conditions through the week, with sunshine dominating after today’s brief fog and low storm chance. The NWS recommends drivers use low beams in foggy areas and allow extra travel time.
