Huntsville, Alabama – Scattered storms and heavy rain are set to continue across North Alabama through Saturday, with the greatest risks including gusty winds, lightning, and localized flooding.

According to the National Weather Service in Huntsville, the main threat of severe storms ended Wednesday night, but daily rounds of showers and thunderstorms will persist through the weekend. Rain chances remain high—up to 80% Friday—with temperatures climbing to the low 80s during the day and dipping to the 50s and 60s at night.

Madison, Limestone, and Morgan counties are expected to see intermittent downpours, especially Friday into Saturday. Travel could be impacted by ponding on roads and brief low visibility during heavier showers. Power outages are possible due to lightning and wind.

Residents are advised to avoid outdoor activities during storm hours, secure loose outdoor items, and keep devices charged. This wet pattern follows recent flooding concerns, though totals should remain more manageable this round.

The highest rain chances taper off by Saturday night, with only a 20% chance of storms lingering into Sunday. Further updates may be issued if rain totals or storm intensity increase.
