Huntsville, AL – North Alabama will enjoy another stretch of calm spring weather Thursday, but that won’t last into the weekend.
Temperatures will climb into the mid-70s Thursday and Friday under mostly sunny skies, ideal for outdoor work or travel across the region, including along US-72. However, residents should begin preparing for wet roads and cooler conditions by Saturday as rain chances climb sharply into the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service in Huntsville, Thursday will be sunny with a high near 77°F. Winds will stay light out of the south around 5 mph. Skies will turn mostly cloudy Thursday night, with a low around 57°F. Friday continues the spring warmth with a high near 78°F, though clouds will persist through the day and overnight.
Rain arrives Saturday, with a 50% chance of showers and a high near 72°F. That risk increases to 60% by Sunday, with possible thunderstorms in the mix. Motorists and event organizers should monitor local forecasts and plan for wet conditions, especially during afternoon and evening hours this weekend.
Looking ahead, Monday brings scattered showers early before partly sunny skies return, with highs in the low 70s. Tuesday offers a slight 20% chance of rain, rounding out a mild, mostly springlike five-day forecast for the Huntsville area.
Local residents should stay weather-aware heading into the weekend and consider adjusting outdoor activities accordingly.
