Huntsville, AL – Cloudy, windy, and colder conditions are expected across North Alabama today, with a slight chance of light sprinkles or flurries. Temperatures will range from the low 40s during the day to below freezing overnight.
According to the National Weather Service in Huntsville, a Freeze Warning is in effect from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m. Friday for all counties in northern Alabama. Residents are advised to protect sensitive vegetation and outdoor pipes from freezing conditions.
A warming trend will begin Friday, bringing drier and milder conditions through Saturday, with highs reaching the upper 60s. However, a cold front will move in Sunday afternoon, bringing showers and thunderstorms that may include strong to severe storms. Locally heavy rainfall is also possible.
By Monday, cooler and drier weather is expected to return. Residents should prepare for fluctuating temperatures and monitor forecasts for potential severe weather late in the weekend.
