Birmingham, AL – Parts of Alabama may see scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms Saturday, mainly along and east of Interstate 65, while the rest of the state stays mostly dry with mild fall temperatures.
According to the National Weather Service in Birmingham, highs today will range from the lower 80s in the far northwest to the mid-80s across central and eastern Alabama. Communities including Anniston, Gadsden, Montgomery, and Auburn are forecast to reach 84–87 degrees under partly cloudy skies with chances of brief rain.
Tonight, conditions are expected to clear across the region, with cooler temperatures dropping into the upper 50s in the northwest and the mid-60s further south and central. The forecast calls for mostly clear skies overnight, making for comfortable sleeping weather.
Looking ahead, Sunday brings another partly cloudy day, with warmer highs returning. Temperatures will climb into the upper 80s east of I-65 and approach 90 degrees in the southwest portions of the state, including Demopolis and Selma. Rain chances remain low.
Drivers traveling along I-65 east toward Montgomery and Auburn may want to allow for brief delays during passing showers. Otherwise, most of Alabama should enjoy a dry and seasonably warm weekend.
