Heat will peak in the early afternoon, and residents are urged to limit outdoor exposure, drink plenty of water, and avoid strenuous activity during peak hours.
Sunny skies will return Sunday, with highs near 95 degrees, offering a brief break from storm activity. However, more showers are possible by midweek as another disturbance moves into the Tennessee Valley.
