Birmingham, AL – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Birmingham has confirmed multiple tornadoes from Tuesday night’s severe storms, including an EF3 tornado in Dallas, Autauga, and Chilton counties. Additional EF1 and EF2 tornadoes have been surveyed across central Alabama.
According to NWS storm survey updates, an EF1 tornado has been confirmed in Coosa County, while another EF1 impacted Greene, Pickens, and Tuscaloosa counties. The track of the Gordo EF2 tornado has also been finalized. In Walker County, damage near Sipsey has been attributed to an EF2 tornado, with further surveys ongoing to determine additional tracks from Lake Tuscaloosa to Sipsey.
Other confirmed tornadoes include EF2-rated storms in Talladega, Tallapoosa, Pike/Bullock, and Pickens counties, along with EF0 tornadoes in Hale/Perry, Bibb, and Chambers counties. Shelby County experienced multiple EF1 tornadoes.
The NWS continues surveying affected areas, particularly in Tuscaloosa and Walker counties, where final determinations on tornado tracks are still pending. More detailed interactive maps will be released once assessments are complete. Residents are urged to stay updated on weather alerts and report damage to local authorities.
