Birmingham, AL – A man was fatally shot and a woman injured during an early morning shooting on Pinson Valley Parkway in Jefferson County.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 12:19 a.m. Friday to the 4000 block of Pinson Valley Parkway following reports of gunfire. When they arrived, they discovered a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Center Point Fire & Rescue pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Deputies also found a 34-year-old woman at the location with a gunshot wound. She was transported by Center Point Fire & Rescue to UAB Hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
