Alabama, TN Valley – Residents across the Tennessee Valley are bracing for one more day of intense summer heat as temperatures are expected to soar on Thursday. The US National Weather Service in Huntsville, Alabama, has issued a heat advisory, warning that heat indices could reach between 100°F and 104°F in certain areas. This extreme heat is expected to affect cities including Huntsville, Florence, and Fayetteville, with high temperatures ranging from 91°F to 95°F.

According to the National Weather Service, the heat index, which factors in both temperature and humidity, will make the conditions feel even hotter than the actual temperature. Residents are advised to stay indoors, remain hydrated, and avoid strenuous outdoor activities during peak afternoon hours.

The forecast indicates some relief from the intense heat starting Friday, as temperatures are expected to drop slightly to highs in the upper 80s to low 90s, with more comfortable conditions continuing into the weekend. Friday’s high is forecasted at 89°F, followed by 86°F on Saturday, and 87°F on Sunday, under mostly sunny skies. Early next week, temperatures are anticipated to remain in the upper 80s to low 90s, offering a slight reprieve from the heatwave that has gripped the region this week.
