Birmingham, AL – Trick-or-treaters across Alabama are in for a classic fall evening — cool, clear, and comfortable — but temperatures will drop quickly once the sun sets.

According to the US National Weather Service Birmingham, afternoon highs will reach between 60°F and 66°F before cooling rapidly into the 50s by 7 p.m. and the upper 40s to near 50°F by 9 p.m. Northern Alabama will see the coolest readings of the night.

Forecasters say skies will remain clear, with light winds and dry air providing perfect weather for outdoor Halloween fun. However, families are advised to bring a light jacket or layer costumes to stay warm after dark.

No rain is expected across the state, and travel conditions will remain ideal throughout the evening.
