Huntsville, AL – Alabama residents can look forward to a shift toward clear skies and cooler air starting Thursday as a soggy start to the week gives way to perfect fall weather. Light rain continues Tuesday, but forecasters expect sunshine to return just in time for weekend plans and early Halloween decorating.

According to the National Weather Service in Huntsville, scattered showers will linger through Tuesday evening with a 60% chance of rain and highs near 84°F. By Wednesday, skies begin to clear, leading to a partly sunny Thursday with a refreshing high around 74°F. Winds will stay light, but gusts up to 15 mph may briefly kick up leaves on local roads, including U.S. 72 and I-565.

Friday through Sunday look ideal for outdoor events, leaf viewing, and pumpkin patch visits. Highs will rise into the upper 70s, with crisp mornings dipping into the mid-50s. No frost is expected this week, but cooler air will hint at early October’s seasonal turn.

Looking ahead, the extended forecast shows continued mild, dry weather through Columbus Day, with sunny skies and highs near 80°F. Residents are encouraged to check road conditions during early morning commutes and keep umbrellas handy through Wednesday before the sunshine sets in for the weekend.
