Huntsville, AL – Drivers in North Alabama may encounter patchy fog early Wednesday morning before conditions clear to warm, mostly sunny skies. According to the National Weather Service in Huntsville, highs are expected to climb into the mid-to-upper 80s today, with a slight chance of showers across northwest Alabama.
The agency reported at 5:36 a.m. that fog had already developed in some areas, reducing visibility during the morning commute. Forecasters said skies will brighten through the day, though a weak system could bring isolated rainfall west of Huntsville.
By Thursday, temperatures are forecast to dip slightly, ranging from 79 to 86 degrees. Friday and Saturday are expected to bring cooler highs in the upper 70s to low 80s, with nighttime lows falling into the mid-50s. Skies will remain mostly clear through the weekend, with little rain expected.
Sunday should stay dry, with afternoon highs in the low 80s and overnight temperatures settling in the 60s. Conditions are projected to remain steady into early next week.
Residents are advised to use caution on roads during morning fog and allow extra travel time. Sunshine later in the day should provide favorable outdoor conditions across Madison County, Huntsville, and surrounding areas.
