Adams County, WI – A fatal house fire early Thursday morning in the Town of Easton left one person dead and another critically injured, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said dispatchers received a 911 call around 1:40 a.m. on September 18, reporting a residence fire with possible entrapment in the 1000 block of Edgewood Avenue.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the first arriving crews found a single-family home fully engulfed in flames. One individual managed to escape but suffered significant injuries. That person was airlifted to UW Health University Hospital, where they remain in critical condition. Another individual was found deceased inside the structure.
