Abilene, Texas – Light showers may return to West Central Texas next week, but the odds of meaningful rainfall remain slim, with Tuesday offering the best—yet still uncertain—chance for precipitation.
According to the National Weather Service in Abilene and San Angelo, rain chances are expected to fluctuate between 15% and 45% across the region from Monday through Friday. Tuesday stands out with the highest likelihood, where cities like Abilene and Brownwood may see a 25% to 35% chance of at least a tenth of an inch of rain.
Areas like Ballinger, Brady, and Junction also show slightly elevated chances on Tuesday but still fall below the threshold for significant accumulation. Confidence remains low for widespread storms or measurable rainfall, as this unsettled weather pattern stays weak and disorganized.
Residents are encouraged to stay weather-aware but should not anticipate major disruptions to travel or outdoor plans. With temperatures expected to stay seasonably warm, it’s a good time to conserve water and monitor for updates in case rain chances increase.
More updates are expected by early next week as models adjust. For now, only isolated showers are possible through Friday.
