BOURBONNAIS – ComEd officials report Friday morning crews are expected to resolve over 95% of all outages caused by Monday’s storms by Friday night.

As of 5 am Friday morning, 56,108 customers were still affected by power outages across Illinois, including 3,700+ residents in Kankakee County.

“More than 3,000 crews are working around the clock to restore power to customers impacted by Monday’s extreme and destructive weather that brought hurricane force winds, extensive lightning, golf ball-sized hail and 10 tornadoes that impacted the entire ComEd service territory,” ComEd said in a statement. “We are on target to restore power to over 95 percent of customers by Friday night.”

To report a downed line or outage, call ComEd at 1-800-EDISON1 (1-800-334-7661) or go to ComEd.com to report the location.
