Durant, OK – Nearly 10 million pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products have been recalled from grocery stores across the United States due to possible Listeria contamination. The recall, initiated by BrucePac on October 9, affects a wide variety of pre-packaged salads, casseroles, and wraps sold at major retailers, including Aldi, Walmart, and Trader Joe’s.
The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) reports that these products were distributed nationwide to grocery stores and restaurants between June and October 2024. Affected items, including Fresh Express salads and Marketside meals, may have been contaminated by Listeria monocytogenes, which can cause serious illness.
Consumers are urged to check product labels and discard or return any recalled items. For a complete list of affected products, click here. No illnesses have been reported at this time, but FSIS advises consumers to monitor for symptoms and contact healthcare providers if needed.
