Altoona, IA – Chipotle Mexican Grill is set to open its first restaurant in Altoona next week, bringing new dining options, jobs and loyalty rewards to local customers.
According to Chipotle Mexican Grill, the new location at 3053 8th St. SW, Suite 600, will officially open on Tuesday, June 16. The restaurant will operate daily from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Guests visiting the new location will have the opportunity to try Chipotle’s latest limited-time offerings, including Chipotle Honey Chicken and the company’s recently introduced Cilantro Lime Sauce.
The restaurant will also feature Chipotle’s curated high-protein menu, which includes options ranging from 15 to 81 grams of protein. Menu selections include the Double High Protein Bowl, High Protein-High Fiber Bowl, the High Protein Cup snack option and a Single Chicken Taco starting at $3.50.
Customers can enroll in the revamped Chipotle Rewards program to earn perks such as monthly food rewards, birthday offers and exclusive promotions. New members currently receive free chips and guacamole with a qualifying purchase after enrollment.
Chipotle officials said the Altoona restaurant is hiring and is expected to employ approximately 30 workers. Benefits include a crew bonus program, access to debt-free college degree opportunities, English language education programs and mental health resources for employees and their families.
The location will also offer Chipotle’s Build-Your-Own catering service, allowing customers to create customized meal spreads for gatherings and events.
The opening marks Chipotle’s first entry into Altoona and continues the company’s expansion across Iowa and the Midwest as demand for fast-casual dining options continues to grow.
