Teen Dies in Indiana Four-Wheeler Crash after Striking ‘Unknown Object’ on Private Property

CHESTERTON, IN – A 14-year-old teenager lost their life in a four-wheeler crash Saturday.

According to Indiana Department of Natural Resources reports, the incident, which took place in LaPorte County around 4:30 p.m., involved the teen operating the vehicle “at a high rate of speed” on private property. The catastrophic turn came when they collided with an unknown object. 

Despite wearing a helmet, the young individual was declared dead at the scene. Investigations are ongoing, with the DNR collaborating with the LaPorte County Sheriff’s Police and Coroner’s Office to uncover more details.
