According to the NWS, today’s weather will be less humid and breezy with highs between 71 and 79 degrees. Friday is expected to be breezy and cool, with temperatures ranging from 65 to 75 degrees. Saturday carries a slight 20% chance of isolated showers, with highs from 69 to 78 degrees. Sunday will see the pleasant weather continue, with temperatures ranging from 70 to 77 degrees.
However, the NWS has issued a warning for hazardous swimming conditions on Lake Michigan beaches in Berrien County, MI, and LaPorte County, IN, effective from late this morning through Friday. The swim risk forecast indicates a moderate to high risk, with life-threatening waves and currents expected.
Winds are forecasted from the west at 15 to 25 mph, with wave heights of 3 to 5 feet in Berrien County and 2 to 4 feet in LaPorte County. Beachgoers are advised to steer clear of piers and stay dry when waves are high to ensure safety.
