Mishawaka, Indiana – Nonprofit organizations serving vulnerable populations across Northern Indiana and the south suburban Chicago region will soon have access to new funding through Franciscan Health’s Social Impact Partnership Program.
According to Franciscan Health, applications for the program open Thursday, May 1, and will be accepted through May 29, offering up to $10,000 in funding per organization to support healthcare-related initiatives.
The program is designed to assist nonprofits working with at-risk communities, including individuals affected by systemic racism, refugees and immigrants, low-income populations and at-risk youth. Priority areas include chronic disease prevention and management, mental wellness and fostering healthy relationships.
Selected organizations will be announced in mid-July and must participate in a required welcome session on July 30. Recipients will also be expected to attend periodic check-ins and submit progress reports at six months and one year to remain eligible for future funding opportunities.
Franciscan Health officials say the initiative aims to strengthen community health outcomes by supporting grassroots organizations already working on the front lines of care and outreach.
An informational session outlining the application process and funding requirements is scheduled for Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. Central Time. Nonprofits can apply online beginning May 1 through the Franciscan Health website.
Officials encourage eligible organizations to apply early and take advantage of available support resources during the application process.
