Indianapolis, IN – Indiana State Police’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force has been honored with a statewide award recognizing its ongoing efforts to protect children and prevent abuse.
According to a recent social media post from Indiana State Police, the ICAC Task Force was named a 2026 “Chaucie’s Champion” by the Indiana Center for Prevention of Youth Abuse and Suicide (ICPYAS). The recognition highlights organizations and individuals demonstrating exceptional commitment to preventing child abuse and suicide.
The award, presented this week, acknowledges the ICAC Task Force’s continued work investigating alleged online exploitation cases involving minors, as well as its outreach efforts aimed at educating families and communities. Officials said the task force has repeatedly worked with local and federal partners to identify suspects allegedly involved in child exploitation and bring them to justice.
The certificate, shared publicly by the agency, commends the unit for its dedication to “preventing child abuse and keeping children safe.” The recognition comes as ICAC units nationwide continue to face increasing caseloads tied to digital platforms and online activity involving minors.
Indiana State Police officials noted the honor reflects the hard work of investigators, digital forensic analysts, and partner agencies who allegedly handle sensitive and complex cases involving children. They added that prevention, education, and enforcement remain key priorities moving forward.
ICPYAS presents the “Chaucie’s Champion” award annually to highlight impactful efforts across Indiana focused on youth safety and well-being.
Authorities continue to encourage parents and guardians to monitor online activity and report any suspicious behavior involving children to law enforcement.
