Avon, IN – A former Chick-fil-A employee is facing multiple charges after allegedly breaking into a coworker’s home early Tuesday morning to perform an exorcism.
According to Avon Police, the incident began when a resident reported a break-in at their home. Officers arrived to find that a 38-year-old man had shattered a window to gain access to the property. The suspect informed police that he was there to perform an exorcism on a female resident of the home.
The man brought a CD with him for the occasion, explaining to officers that “track three” was going to “save her.” Police discovered that the suspect had been a former employee of Chick-fil-A and claimed that his actions were intended to help his former coworker.
The suspect was taken into custody and subsequently admitted to a local hospital for evaluation. He is now facing charges that include criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing. Authorities have not released further details about the identity of the victim or the suspect.
