Children Hospitalized After River Incident in Indiana

PULASKI COUNTY, IN — Two children, aged 1 and 5, were hospitalized on Saturday after being rescued from the Tippecanoe River in Pulaski County, as reported by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. 

The incident occurred around 10:50 a.m., following a 911 call to Pulaski County Dispatch about the children struggling in the river near a home. 

Authorities learned the children entered the river while playing outside. Both children and two adults were initially taken to Pulaski Memorial Hospital. The 1-year-old was subsequently transferred to Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis for further treatment.
