New Lenox Safe Community Coalition, in collaboration with New Lenox School District #122, will host a free workshop titled “Mental Health 101: Tips and Tricks for a Healthy Mind” on Thursday, May 9, 2024. The event is scheduled from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at the New Lenox Village Hall, located at 1 Veterans Parkway. Registration is required and can be completed via Eventbrite.
According to the organizers, the workshop will address the stigma surrounding mental health discussions, offer practical management tips, and suggest strategies for helping others. The session will be led by Marie Goulet, an experienced LCSW and Lead Social Worker at New Lenox School District #122, who brings over 20 years of expertise in mental health, focusing on trauma, anxiety, and behavior issues.
