Joliet, IL – Emergency crews were dispatched to two fire incidents today, starting with an Amazon warehouse compactor blaze followed by a semi trailer fire on Interstate 80.
The first episode saw Joliet Fire Department’s quick containment of the fire, deploying several engines and support vehicles. A subsequent roadway incident caused significant traffic disruptions on I-80 westbound, prompting travel cautions.
According to Joliet fire department, proactive measures prevented injuries, and investigations are underway to determine the origins of the fires.
