Wheaton, IL Offers Eco-Friendly Christmas Light Recycling Until Jan. 19

WHEATON, IL — Wheaton’s Public Works Storage Facility, located at 820 W. Liberty Dr., is offering residents an eco-friendly option to dispose of old Christmas lights until Jan. 19.

Both LED and incandescent light strands, working or not, are accepted Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. This initiative is in collaboration with Elgin Recycling, which plans to repurpose the plastic and copper from the lights, emphasizing sustainable practices in the community.
