BOURBONNAIS, IL – Olivet Nazarene University (ONU) has secured a position among Illinois’ Top Ten colleges in WalletHub’s recent College & University Rankings.

The ranking, released on October 16, saw the institution applauded for its affordability and post-graduate success rates.

While WalletHub, established in 2013, is largely recognized for consumer financial tools, its annual report undertakes a rigorous comparison of 800 institutions. The goal? Identifying high-performing schools offering quality education at the most affordable rates to undergraduates.

Key indicators include student selectivity, cost, financing, career outcomes, post-graduation metrics, and student loan default rates. The holistic assessment ensures students get value for their investments.

“We’re always pleased when a third party recognizes the extensive work Olivet Nazarene University is doing to make college more affordable for students and families,” remarked Susan Wolff, Executive Director of University Relations at ONU.  “College affordability without success after graduation would be an incomplete story. In establishing this ranking, WalletHub considered ONU’s student-to-faculty ratio, and competitive scholarship and aid packages, but also the median salaries of our students after they are engaged in the workforce.”

This acknowledgment follows hot on the heels of ONU’s recent titles: a Four-Star University by Money Magazine and a Best College and Top Ten Best Value by US News Best Colleges.

Joining ONU in the WalletHub’s Top Ten are illustrious names such as Northwestern University, University of Chicago, and University of Illinois.

With a legacy since 1907, ONU offers a vast array of accredited courses and programs on its expansive 275-acre Bourbonnais campus and online, catering to around 3,700 students.
