MANTENO, IL – A serious accident on Route 50 at the 12000 North intersection rattled the Manteno area Wednesday morning.
According to Kankakee County Sheriff’s reports it began around 9:20 AM when emergency teams rushed to the scene where a semi-trailer, having missed a stop sign, collided with another vehicle at the Kankakee/Will County Line. One person was transported to the hospital following the crash.
The involved drivers’ identities remain undisclosed as the investigation continues. Currently, no charges have been filed against either driver in the incident. Their current condition is unknown at this time.
