Limestone, IL – Emergency teams successfully concluded a late-night search for a suicidal individual reported missing late Tuesday evening.
The coordinated search took place in the 100 block of W Pacific St., involving multiple local and county resources. Utility terrain vehicles from Limestone, Salina, and Herscher, along with a drone from Braidwood, were deployed to aid in the efforts.
According to officials, the Essex Fire Protection District, Essex Police Department, and the Kankakee County Sheriff’s office worked together to locate the man safely. The effective response underscores the community’s commitment to addressing mental health crises and the capabilities of the emergency services in urgent situations.
