Bourbonnais, IL – Eyes on the Road: Police Step Up Distracted Driving Enforcement

Bourbonnais, IL – Bourbonnais Police Department have partnered with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), the Illinois State Police, and over 200 other local enforcement agencies to combat distracted driving. 

This initiative, announced as part of Distracted Driving Awareness Month, will see heightened patrols throughout April targeting motorists who text while driving and commit other traffic infractions. The campaign urges drivers to use safe alternatives, like pulling over to text or designating a passenger as their “texter.” This statewide effort aims to reduce distractions and ensure safer streets for all.
