Kankakee, IL – KCC Student Kiernan Tammen to Compete in Miss Illinois County Fair Queen Pageant

Kankakee, IL – Kiernan Tammen, a student at Kankakee Community College (KCC), is set to represent Iroquois County at the 64th Miss Illinois County Fair Queen Pageant on January 14th. 

The event, to be held at the Crown Plaza Convention Center in Springfield, Illinois, is a significant platform showcasing the state’s young talent.

Tammen, who was crowned Miss Iroquois County Fair Queen in July, hails from Danforth, Illinois. The daughter of Jason and Sherri Tammen, she graduated from Iroquois West High School in 2022 and is currently majoring in Nursing at KCC. Tammen will be participating in the preliminary round of the pageant on the evening of January 13th.

According to pageant details, sixteen finalists will be chosen to compete for the title of Miss Illinois County Fair 2024 at a banquet on January 14th.  

Contestants are evaluated based on personal interviews, stage presence, beauty, and speech and communication skills. The event is not only a contest but also a celebration of the diverse talents and ambitions of young women across Illinois, with a spotlight this year on a promising KCC student.
