Illinois State Police Arrest Mokena Man on Child Pornography Charges

MOKENA, IL – In a significant operation by the Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 1, 75-year-old Edward R. Regan of Mokena has been charged with five counts of alleged possessing child pornography, a Class 2 felony. 

According to Illinois State Police reports the arrest occurred on Thursday following the execution of a search warrant at Regan’s residence on Daniel Trail, where agents reportedly collected evidence supporting the charges.  Regan was subsequently detained and is currently held at the Will County Jail.

ISP stresses the importance of community vigilance and provides resources for reporting child-related crimes. As the legal process moves forward, it is important to remember that all individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
