Frankfort, IL – Kansas Street in downtown Frankfort will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic from May 23 through October 24, the Village of Frankfort announced today.

This initiative is part of a returning summer event aimed at transforming the area between Ash Street and Oak Street into a lively outdoor dining zone. Local officials and business owners anticipate the pedestrian-friendly setting will enhance the dining experience with attractive outdoor seating and a scenic ambiance.

This move is designed to boost local commerce and provide residents and visitors with an enjoyable open-air dining experience in the heart of the city.
