Frankfort, IL – Major Road Construction on St. Francis Road to Disrupt Traffic for 2 1/2 Months

Frankfort drivers should prepare for delays as major roadway construction starts today on St. Francis Road, spanning from LaGrange Road to 88th Avenue. The project is set to last approximately 2 1/2 months and involves comprehensive upgrades including curb and gutter replacements, pavement patching, and the installation of new asphalt. Work hours are scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to dusk, weather permitting.

Local authorities urge motorists to drive with caution and adhere to posted speed limits through the construction zone to ensure the safety of both the workers and the traveling public. The Village of Frankfort thanks residents and commuters for their patience and cooperation during this period as they work to enhance road infrastructure.
