CHICAGO, IL – Illinois State Police reported a fatal accident early Friday morning on Interstate 57.
The incident occurred around 1:36 a.m. on northbound I-57 at 107th Street. According to authorities, the vehicle was heading north when it veered off course and collided with a light pole. The impact ejected the driver from the car.
The driver, whose identity remains undisclosed, was transported to a local hospital where they were pronounced dead. As of now, no additional details have been released. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
