DuPage County, IL – Batavia Woman Cited 16 Months After Fatal Crash that Claimed Wheaton Woman’s Life

Wheaton, IL – A Batavia woman has been cited by the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred over 16 months ago, resulting in the death of 31-year-old Paige Donahue of Wheaton. The tragic incident took place on January 2, 2023, on Roosevelt Road near Crest Street.

Following an extensive investigation that included the use of electronic search warrants and detailed forensic analysis, Wheaton Police identified the involved vehicle as a Hyundai Tucson, driven by Tarra Fiedler of Batavia. Fiedler has reportedly cooperated with the investigation, providing important details about the events of that fateful evening.

Fiedler was issued a citation for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident, with further criminal charges not currently pursued. This case has deeply affected the Wheaton community, bringing widespread support for Donahue’s grieving family.
