Glen Ellyn, IL – As winter grips the Midwest, the Village of Glen Ellyn reminds residents of essential snow removal practices.

According to the village’s public service announcement, residents must shovel the walkway in front of their homes to ensure the safety of pedestrians. Moreover, disposing of snow onto the streets is strictly prohibited, and clearing catch basins post-snowfall is advised to prevent waterlogging during a quick thaw.

Additionally, parking on village streets is not allowed after a snowfall of two inches or more until plowing is complete. These measures are crucial for maintaining safety and accessibility during the winter months
