Aurora Man Charged with Attempted Murder in October Grand Boulevard Shooting

Aurora, IL – The Aurora Police Department announced the arrest of 22-year-old David Ponce, charging him with Attempted First Degree Murder among other felonies in connection with a shooting incident in October. 

According to police reports the incident, which took place on Grand Boulevard on October 13th, involved a disturbance between individuals that escalated to gunfire. Ponce allegedly fired at a vehicle as it fled the scene, though no injuries were reported. 

Following an extensive investigation, Ponce was apprehended on December 14th and is currently detained at the Kane County Jail.
