BOURBONNAIS, Ill. — Dining out can be a challenge for anyone trying to lose weight. Fit Body U, a fitness center in Bourbonnais, has offered some tips on their Facebook page for those who wish to indulge in a restaurant meal without sacrificing their weight loss goals.

The center recommends avoiding fried foods such as french fries, wings, and mozzarella sticks, and opting for a salad instead of fries when ordering a burger. They also suggest cutting sandwiches in half and taking one portion home for later.

Additionally, Fit Body U advises against adding sauces to meals and watching portion sizes, as well as eating small, frequent meals.

“Small frequent meals is the goal. Just because food is on your plate doesn’t mean you have to finish it. Eat until you are no longer hungry, not until you are stuffed,” the post said.

According to the post, following these tips can help some individuals lose at least 10 pounds in less than a month.

While it can be difficult to maintain healthy habits while eating out, Fit Body U’s tips offer a way to enjoy restaurant meals without sacrificing weight loss goals.
